...Freddy Garcia's numbers against the Tigers read a bit like a pitcher's AL Cy Young-caliber season would - 17-6 with a 3.73 ERA. As I said yesterday, we've got a lot of rooks who have never seen him, so per usual we can pin our hopes on them and hope they come up with something. Brennan Boesch sure did last night, after a few tries.
Miggy was hitless last night, so he's due. Rick has been inconsistent this year; last week's start wasn't helped by several defensive errors. His starts against the White Sox haven't been great, with a 6.57 ERA and a couple home runs from their current lineup. He's never pitched in Chicago, though, so who knows...maybe he'll like it and find his swagger there.
Tigers lineup: Jackson 8, Damon dh, Raburn 7, Cabrera 3, Boesch 9, Guillen 4, Inge 5, Avila 2, Worth 6
White Sox lineup: Pierre 7, Vizquel 5, Rios 8, Konerko 3, Quentin 9, Kotsay DH, Ramirez 6, Castro 2, Beckham 4
